Celsius Coffee co--The food

Celsius Coffee co - The food

"What comes to your mind when one mentions the word Sydney? "

Besides the gentle humming emulating from the modern and robust urban jungle, surely, our pristine beaches have definitely popped into your mind. Located on the Kirribilli commuter wharf, Celsius Coffee co is everything the sunny side of Sydney embodies. The walls of the cafe are lined with antique wood panels which gives the cafe an exotic vibe. The cafe is tucked into a conservative corner onto the side of the wharf which may be hard to seek out for first-timers.

Have you ever dreamed of living near the ocean and having breakfast to the sound of soft undulating waves crashing onto barnacle encrusted cliffs?

Upon arrival, our team was warmly greeted by the Celsius staff and handed a menu each. The small coffee tables which were close to the ocean were mostly taken due to the popularity of the cafe despite being 9am. We were led to a long wooden bench looking out onto the sea with the most stunning view.

What we ordered:

Celsius Breakfast:  The Celsius Breakfast is the cafe's signature morning dish which consists of Blistered tomatoes, avocado, soft boiled egg, asparagus, garlic & herb sauteed mushrooms on toast.

Thoughts: This dish is the definition of wholesome as the comforting taste of bacon and eggs will conjure up warm memories of childhood. Celsius coffee co has put a twist on the traditional Aussie breakfast with sweet juicy green blistered tomatoes and their special red spread on toast. This dish is a great way to start a day and we will be coming back for this dish in the future for sure!

We recommend having the Celsius Breakfast with their Watermelon (Drink)

Chicken Burger:  The classic chicken burger with chicken schnitzel breast, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo.

Thoughts: The burger overall was exceptional, all ingredients were well cooked, flavoured and prepared. The chicken schnitzel was flavoursome and succulent and the brioche burger bun was rich in flavour and soft and the mayo pulled all the ingredients of the burger together. The burger was sprinkled with black salt pieces giving it an extra crunch and flavour, creating a superior classic chicken burger differentiating it to ones at other cafe's.

Mushroom and Burrata: The Mushroom and Burrata dish featured different types of sautéed mushrooms- Shitake, oyster and white included. Along with this main ingredient came local Burrata, Chimichurri, all on sourdough toast.

Thoughts: This dish truly captured the flavours of fresh, well- seasoned mushrooms that provided different textures and tastes. Burrata is one of the softest and creamiest cheese and Celsius Coffee Co has really brought out its best in this dish. The sauce compliments all the components well and adds a touch that pulls the whole dish together. With its almost to perfect presentation, it gives an even more appealing aspect that draws you in. Although there are many vegetarian options, I highly recommend this one if you are a vegetarian or even just looking for a light meal for breakfast.

Celsius waffles with berries, maple syrup:  Waffle with honey and decorated with strawberries and blueberries. On the top are the toasted nuts and peanuts buttercream.

Thoughts:
I'm not a sweet person, I don't like eat too sweet or creamy food. But I still want to try the popular dessert of this cafe. It gives me surprises, it was a wonderful combination of waffle and peanut cream. I suggest that when you eat you take a bit of waffle and put strawberries and blueberries with nuts cream on it.
