Tea Journal Chatswood – The Food: Matcha cake

If you haven’t checked out our first blog about the Tea Journal’s Rose cake, we recommend you to click here

Our thoughts on Tea Journal:

Tea Journal is a small but cosy café situated within the heart of Chatswood just a stone toss from the train station. Most members of the Foodies team were all genuinely surprised by the contrast in atmosphere as we entered the shop. Despite being so close to the train station, Tea Journal stood as a serene lotus flower undisturbed by the noisy traffic of life which surrounds it.

Our second order:

The Tea Journal homemade Matcha Cake:

Tea Journal’s Matcha cake much like their Rose cake has a very good balance of sugar levels as it was not too sweet allowing the richness of the Matcha to come through. However, perhaps it is due to the sheer amount of already existing Matcha cakes the competition might be a little tough. Never the less we still really enjoyed the cake 😊

Stay tuned for our next post!!
